Tehran int'l short film fest announces 2018 official selections

The Tehran International Short Film Festival has announced the feature films slated to compete at the 2018 edition of the Iranian event.

Some 108 works will vie at Feature Film category of the 35th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival, set to be held next week, according to the website of the gala.

The nominees were selected by the selection panel from a total of 946 submitted feature films.

The selection panel is composed of Peyman Nahan-Qudrati, Morteza-Ali Abbas-Mirzaei, Dariush Qaribzadeh, Zahra Zamani, Elham Hosseinzadeh, Bahman Dadfar and Reza Sobhani.

Organized by Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS), the festival aims to provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to exchange their experiences.

The 35th edition of the Tehran International Short Film Festival, set to be directed by Seyyed-Sadeq Mousavi, will be held in the Iranian capital city on November 9-13, 2018.
